The Department of Ophthalmology conducts grand rounds on the second Wednesday of each month at 5 p.m. These lectures take place on the third floor of Gavin Herbert Eye Institute at the UC Irvine campus in Irvine.
Two residents and a faculty member present cases on specific topics.
Grand Rounds are held for UC Irvine Health and community physicians, as well as other healthcare professionals. Their purpose is to provide updates on the latest treatment modalities and research in ophthalmology. The UC Irvine Health School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide Continuing Medical Education for physicians.
